The Journey Known as P90X

I meant to write about this yesterday but I just couldn't find the time to squeeze it in. My plan was to write about P90X, a popular workout / diet regimen that a friend told me about not too long ago. He has a pretty good write-up on his blog: http://blog.ventaur.com. Before I started the program, I had to get a couple of things in place and complete the Fitness Test. The test was comprised of exercises that focused on certain strengths and abilities to see if I was capable of completing the program. I passed the test pretty easily, but that does not necessarily mean that I am in good shape. Above average? Yes. Where I should be? Probably not.

So, I had to change around my eating habits pretty significantly. Luckily the program outlines everything so you are NEVER guessing. I've been forced to restructure everything so that my body is being "fueled" instead of "fed". So far so good, though. It's only my second day and I've been going strong with a high protein / low carbohydrate diet. Hopefully I won't get too bored down the road.

I'll post the aftermath of my first official workout tomorrow. Should be interesting.
